GIS technology provides capabilities to manage, analyze, and serve large volumes of information. Major users within the public framework, fall in environment, agriculture, statistical analysis areas, or within the purely cadastral or urban field. Although, increasingly, new applications emerge such as healthcare management, of infrastructure or of security and emergencies.
In addition, GIS participates in national scope projects that affect the different administrations as, for example, SIOSE or INSPIRE where specific tools are required for content generation, analysis and dissemination of information or to comply with special regulations.
